Scandinavian Home Office – Shop the Look
How to achieve a Scandinavian home office
Some interior styles just capture our imagination such as Scandinavian interior style. It could be the simplicity or the classic slim line. Another interesting feature of Scandinavian interior design is the neutral colour palette.
For this Scandinavian home office I chose a timber desk with a slim line in an oak timber. Lighter woods are more suitable to this style compared to darker woods such as walnut. It’s a highly functional piece with two drawers for storage of your various stationery items.
The next important piece for this Scandianvian home office furnitue package is the desk chair. I chose a grey upholstered chair with a curved line and a white base. This curved line is repeated in other pieces as well. Repetition being an vital interior design element to achieve cohesion, balance and harmony.
For this home office there is a white bookcase for books, paper and small printer. Another white item is the metal desk lamp. A closer look and you might think this desk lamp is more suited to Industrial interior style but I chose it specifically to add interest and the white colour connects it to the entire furniture package.
With the core pieces selected I started to layer this Scandinavian home office with decor such as a white and black rug with a geometric pattern. A white and black wall print also with a geometric pattern.
Other items include a sculptural vase to add your favourite flower, either real or artificial and more texture and pattern is added through the pot plant.
