Earthy Scandinavian Guest Room

Earthy Scandinavian Guest Room

Tis the season for guests. Christmas and New Year is the one time of the year when you need your guest room. But many of us use our spare room as a dumping ground, home office or hobby room and rarely put some thought into what would make our guests feel truly welcome and comfortable. So this week I’ve created an earthy Scandinavian guest room buyable inspo board.

The Focal Pieces

For this buyable inspo board I chose the Amanda sofa bed. Sofa beds have come along way in terms of design, comfort and aesthetics. This sofa bed is so beautiful it could actually work just as well as the main sofa in an apartment living room setting.

A guest room needs at least one bedside table so I chose a side table which can easily work as a coffee table by joining the Barber ash side table selected. I love the sliding doors in this piece. I think what’s important in a guest room is to fill it with interesting pieces.

The Complementary Pieces

There a few complementary pieces in this earthy Scandinavian guest room buyable inspo board, namely the Lobby bench. An piece ideal for guests to store their luggage.

I also added the Grieg coat rack for guest sto temporarily hang their clothes. But I love the mirror and shoe storage in this piece, which I think would be great in a hallway or entrance.

Guests need ambient lighting so I added the Mark Tuckey Table lamp. It’s wood lamp shade accentuates the earthiness of this mood board in the use of this natural material.

The accents are also gorgeous, the art, cushions, plants and throw all add warmth and interest to the space to enhance your guests’ stay.

My Favourite Pieces

The Grieg coat rack is my favourite piece. It’s so compact and beautiful, fit for purpose. But there are so many great pieces in this earthy Scandinavian guest room buyable inspo board, just click the links to buy the pieces to re-create this look in your own home.
