Luxe Living with Lush Green Velvet Sofa

Luxe Living with Lush Green Velvet Sofa

I fell in love with the lush, deep green velvet sofa in this luxe living room mood board.  I wanted to do something different with this buyable inspo board and focused on shapes and lines.  Because I also was attracted to the curved line of the armchair and needed to find a way to make it work with the straight line of the sofa.

The Focal Pieces

Fabrics such as velvet and silk are synonymous with luxe interior styles.  The colour green, represents qualities such as renewal, balance and harmony and reminds us of the calming effects of nature.  For this reason, I found the Estelle sofa so inviting.  It also converts to a sofa bed, which I always find super practical, especially for people living in apartments.

To ensure this beautiful piece remained the focal point I chose neutral complementary pieces with a gold accent.  So I chose the Cerafin armchair in dusty cream and gold legs.  I think the shape of this piece alone, communicates luxury.

For the coffee table, I went a bit contemporary, choosing a piece with a dynamic shaped base but a glass top to keep it as neutral as possible.

The Complementary Pieces

There are a lot of complementary pieces in this luxe living room mood board.  Let’s start with the forest green oriental rug.  I particularly like pairing a glass top coffee table with gorgeous rugs, so that the rug remains visible.

Then I added round cushions and a luxe throw.  I think the round cushions were important to connect the curved line of the armchair.  I accentuated the gold accent with a gold planter and beautiful styling décor such as gold tassels.

For the walls, I just had to include the peacock print. Which is so ‘rich’ in colour and symbolism.  The final piece is a marble gold rim wall clock.  Marble is an important part of the luxe mix, in terms of materials.

My Favourite Piece

For less than $500 for the 2 seater, my favourite piece has to be the green convertible sofa.
