Industrial Dining with tan accent

Industrial Dining with tan accent

I loved creating this Industrial dining mood board.  Mainly, because I love black and black is a foundation colour in Industrial interior style.  As always with Industrial interior style the challenge is balance. With the masculine colours and materials we also need feminine textures and patterns.

The Focal Pieces

With this buyable Industrial dining room concept I actually started with the dining chairs.  I chose the Pasadena dining chairs for their solid shape and tan leather seat and back.  Tan leather is so timeless and works beautiful with the black Slater dining table, which is extendable.

We don’t have an extendable dining table and I miss that option when you have just one or two extra guests over.

You could buy four to six dining chairs but in case you wanted to create a more interesting dynamic in your dining zone, I included a dining bench as well.

Benches may not be comfortable for guests for an extended period of time. But the Erika bench in this mood board has a gorgeous woven natural seat.

The Complementary Pieces

Given the woven seat on the bench, I thought I’d add a buffet with a similar concept, so I chose a piece with the rattan doors.  I think these textures add that all important balance to all the strong colours and materials.

Of course I had to include a hide rug, but this one has a classic chevron pattern and I particularly liked the distressed nature of the rug.

Pendant lights are great for defining a zone and I particularly like the glass smokey option included in this industrial buyable inspo board.

Take a close look at the art and you’ll see that it’s a series of lines.  I like the abstract nature of this piece but the curved shaped the lines make also softens the concept.

Finally, you can’t argue with the earthiness of ceramic tableware and I chose a stone colour that’s a little rough around the edges to transmit those Industrial vibes.

My Favourite Piece

In this Industrial dining mood board, my favourite pieces is the Pasadena dining chair.  I like the sturdy look and feel of this chair with the softness of tan colour and warmth of the timber material.
